Important questions and answers regarding EMS training

What is the CK value?

Answer: CK - stands for creatine kinase. An enzyme that is produced when muscles are strained, released into the blood, and excreted via the kidneys. This is a normal process as part of supercompensation, as in conventional strength training. However, especially for untrained users, the stimulus of EMS training should be "pleasant" at the beginning. Also make sure to drink enough liquids (as with conventional training).

What do I need to consider before I start my training?

Answer: Drink enough water before and after training (0.5L respectively). You should eat carbohydrate-rich foods before training (rice, noodles, oatmeal, etc.), but no later than 1.5 hours before you start your workout. Make sure to get enough protein after training.

How long do ROTON training results last?

Answer: That depends on the intensity of training and fitness level of the user. In any case, the result lasts longer than with conventional training.

Why do I only need to train twice a week with ROTON Star?

Answer: Depending on the intensity of your training, your body needs 48-72 hours to regenerate. Therefore, 2 training sessions per week are perfectly sufficient.

What does it feel like to train with an EMS device?

Answer: The impulse travels evenly through your entire muscle structure-the sensation itself is quite pleasant. You should start off with training individual muscle groups, as a full-body workout can be quite intense.

Is the training also recommended for overweight users?

Answer: It is perfect for overweight users, as the isometric training does not put any strain on the joints and also boosts the metabolism by activating the muscles. Combined with a sugar-free diet, EMS training quickly leads to permanent weight loss.

Does the current of the ROTON device effect my heart?

Answer: The low-frequency impulses only contract the skeletal muscles. They have no effect on the smooth heart muscle whatsoever.

Can I build as many muscles with ROTON training as with conventional training?

Answer: Most definitely! It is also much more time-efficient as it works all muscles simultaneously.

Can the ROTON training improve my fitness even if I do not change my eating habits?

Answer: Even if you stick to an unhealthy diet, the training will increase your basal metabolic rate resulting in weight loss. However, you should not overdo it. A sugar-free diet and moderate alcohol consumption will accelerate your training results.

Do the electric impulses have any negative side-effects?

Answer: The positive effects of EMS training have been proven in hundreds of studies. There are no known side effects.

Can I train during pregnancy?

Answer: You should refrain from EMS training during pregnancy, as effects on unborn children have not been researched. However, EMS training is excellent for postpartum recovery.

Who should not train with ROTON?

Answer: You should consult your doctor to check for contraindications. Pregnancy, pacemakers, thrombosis as well as acute infections are generally regarded as contraindications.
